Generous locals light up the village for Christmas

Thanks to the creativity and persistence of Avoca local Maureen Fyffe, this year Avoca village will be adorned with hundreds of metres of twinkling fairy lights for the holiday season.

Maureen hatched the idea, rallied the support of local electricians to install the lights, garnered donations to pay for the solar powered fairy lights, and invited neighbours to help out. Trees throughout the village are now twinkling with thousands of tiny lights, bringing the Christmas spirit to Avoca.
