Loo-k Out! Council Wants Your Input on their Public Toilet Strategy

Council has released a draft Public Toilet strategy, inviting views and comments by 8 November. Details can be found at:

It is an opportunity for you to have a say on an important service for beachgoers, tourists and others using the public spaces of Avoca Beach. How to make a submission is detailed on that webpage.

Three facilities in Avoca Beach are identified as meeting the definition of a public toilet: in the community area beside the surfclub; beside the Ficus Avenue carpark in the centre of the beach; and at the kayak club/Heazlett Park.

A key element of the draft strategy is to demolish the old Ficus Avenue toilet block and replace it with a new facility built to modern design requirements.
